The content you have has to be “decorated” for the initial vision to be accomplished. Below you will see an updated synopsis/shotlist of how we can effectively achieve a great concept piece as well as narrative. I want to avoid several edits because time is now dwindling so I will do my best in explaining and I’m hopeful you can get this done.

Also, we need some artistic special effects type of glitches, time-lapses, etc. for some of the visuals.

FOOTAGE WE HAVE TO BE VERY CREATIVE OF BC OF NEGATIVE TRANSLATION:

Bedroom Scene (The Dancers)- Emi’s solos are phenomenal but it seems as soon as the girls enter into the frame with her the video turns amateur.

REMEDY- Quick Edits, Special EFX, More Emi Solos, Emphasis on Beat and Rhythm (when everyone in sync)

Emi By The Pool (Her Wig)- All the gorgeous close-ups show one damn imperfection “the wig placement” Please pay close attention to glue or anything unforgiving. It was brought to our attention from the 1st edit and im scared.

REMEDY- Not Sure, but maybe special efx, a filter, Pick shots from better angles

Kitchen Scene- the last scene was not captured the way I intended (specifically not enough footage) and there are numerous missing elements I wanted in their dialogue, but with time and whatnot we were not able to capture.

REMEDY- try and manipulate footage to fit that entire verse because this footage should serve as the base footage for the 2nd verse, also add short clips of other scenes assuring the focus is still on “The Kitchen”

Opening Scene/1st Scene

Scene opens with Emi in her bedroom with the girls (over-the-top themes and colors). She's on the phone cutaway to footage (ON THE PHONE) of she and love interest on LAWN and then them TOGETHER in the POOL-Emi/Trell both scenes with alot of close ups on Emi and she looking into the camera, slow-mo, reversing, etc - Cutaway (from phone) back to BEDROOM interaction with girls where they reflect on the phone and we start first verse. Emi taps her necklace before starting 1st Verse

1st Verse:

Alot of close ups on Emi, the predominant/base view is of her solo shots of this scene- slo mo’s and her singing. Due to unfortunate captures of dancers we’ll do quick inserts of them just hitting beats. I’d like to see some interesting special effects like; reversing and time lapsing (examples below). The only addtl scenes that should be included within the 1st verse are:

2nd Verse:

Please start this verse with them entering the kitchen arguing, cut to close up shots of them frustrated and silent. Cinematic cuts from Wide to solos back to wide and slo-Mo are preffered, If very limited on shots use other solo scenes of Emi then.... ONLY THESE PREFERABLY

After these inserts we come back to them in dialogue, about to embrace, most of the footage at end of second verse (going into the hook) is of Emi singing while laying on Trell’s shoulder in Kitchen. Zoom in on Emi, Zoom out to hook and Pool Party

Hook and End of Video:

We are now at the home stretch, things have sped up a bit and were bringing it home. We’ve zoomed out from Emi to see a full on tiki summer pool party. After the zoom out get a lot of Emi and Trell loving on each other; after the first two lines of the hook, then pan to dancers where we repeat one to two of the special efx from earlier, (i.e reversal, time-lapse, glitch- something to make the dancing pop! We then cut to the partygoers quick interactive clips of them by pool. Then to the young lady giving face for 1-2 seconds- she dives but we do not let her connect to the water bc it was an awful dive- maybe reverse her back and we go back to dancers and then start cutting to previous clips shot throughout day. We are recapping so we can use all the videos after the hook is repeated its last time. My special request is that we use quick clips of Emi saying “I dont wanna let go in her different looks”

SYNOPSIS

Opening Scene

Scene opens with Emi in a High school recreated bedroom (over the top themes and colors). She's on the phone or text messaging with her boo. Girls and she are giddy. Painting Nails and Braiding Emi's hair down real funky style!

1st Verse: She's in the bed singing hugging on pillows while friends surround her in room doing all kinds of syncopated "LIFESTYLE" choreo.

0:59-1:20 (Finger snapping, posing and emoting to beat)
1:20-1:40 (Simple Choreo- Emi joins in two 8-counts) Maybe end with a pillow fight

Verse 2: Emi is grown!!! Hair-done, and with her boo in the kitchen... They're arguing and it looks intense but as they keep looking at each other "they don't wanna mess this up" They start to sing the lyrics to one another (one person sings one line- the other the next) lightens the mood and they embrace. (CUT TO)

Emi and Interest outside by pool (there's a gathering happening) Emi and Interest are seen in their own world dancing with each other by pool guests (dancers) break into choreo during second hook their dancing circular (around Emi & interest) not in line (think Janet's "Rock with you")
